Looking for a church on the Isle of Wight?
There are churches all over the Isle of Wight, in Newport, Ryde, Cowes, Sandown, Shanklin, Ventnor and most of the towns and villages in between.
If you've just moved here, or you're looking for a church before Fount starts in March, email us and we'll gladly help you find one that fits, whether or not it ends up being this one.
And if you're already settled in a church on the island, we'd love you to pray for us.
hello@fount.churchA new evangelical church on the Isle of Wight
Fount is an independent evangelical church starting in Newport on Sunday 7 March 2027. Newport sits right in the middle of the island, so it's a church for the whole Isle of Wight, not just one town.
Sundays will be contemporary, with a live band and modern songs, and preaching that mostly works through books of the Bible and applies it to real life. We'll pray together whenever we meet.
We're multigenerational, and we want Fount to represent the full diversity of the island, with every age in the room together.
We believe people reach people. The main way anyone here comes to faith will be through someone who already knows them: a friend, a neighbour, a sister, someone they work alongside. So we want a church full of people who love Jesus and bring the people they already love with them.

Where is Fount Church on the Isle of Wight?
In Newport, right in the middle of the island. We're finalising a venue and we'll announce it soon.
When does Fount Church start?
Our first public Sunday is 7 March 2027.
What time are Sunday services at Fount Church?
Sunday mornings. We'll give the exact time when we announce the venue.
What will Sundays be like?
Contemporary worship with a live band, a talk from the Bible and time to pray together. There'll be coffee and something to eat before and after, and the whole thing lasts about an hour and a half.
Is Fount Church part of a denomination?
No. Fount is independent and non-denominational, and we align with the Evangelical Alliance's Basis of Faith.
What does evangelical mean?
It means we believe the Bible is true and worth taking seriously, and that the news about Jesus is good enough to build a life on.
Are children welcome?
Yes. Fount is a multigenerational church. As quickly as we can, there'll be groups on a Sunday morning for children and teenagers, run by trained and properly checked volunteers.
Do I have to be a Christian to come?
No. We'd love to have you whatever your background or belief.
Does it cost anything?
No, everything is free.
How can I help before Fount starts?
Pray with us, and get in touch if you'd like to hear more. From 7 March, everyone's welcome on a Sunday.
156 days until our first Sunday
